Development story

This is the busiest roadside station in Kochi Prefecture, located in the upper reaches of the Shimanto River.
There was udon on the menu, but it was just regular udon and not unique to Shimanto, so the stationmaster at the time and Mori from Mori Seimen decided to introduce an udon menu that was unique to Shimanto River.
At first, the menu consisted of "Shimanto Udon" and "Aonori Udon," but a few years later, when Mori Seimen developed and proposed extra-thin noodles, the "Seiryu Set," a set of "Aonori Extra-Thin Udon" and "Shimanto Eel," became a huge hit.
It is especially popular from Golden Week to autumn's Summer Holidays, and customers are very happy with it. At the same time, the frozen udon noodles and grilled eel from Mori Seimen, which can be prepared easily and deliciously in the roadside station's kitchen, have simplified operations and made it possible to serve them smoothly, which is very appreciated.
Currently, meat udon noodles made with Shimanto pork are also popular.
